An annual April experiment in creating a Fake Journal~ FAKE: pretend, simulate; counterfeit; to alter.manipulate.
or treat as to impart a false character or appearance.

A fun exercise in pretending to be someone else, maybe in an alternate universe!

Fake Journal 2015

April 2015, the month for Roz Stendahl's
Fake Journal Project, is approaching rapidly...
so decisions need to be made:

Who will my art journal character be?

What will my style be?

What will my vocation be, and how will it affect my journal?

What format do I want to try for my Fake Journal?

What mediums will I use?
How many days in the month of April will I be
able to create a page?
(the premise of the project is that the
artist does a page every day,
but realistically, I suspect that won't work for me.
And I don't plan to agonize over it.)

Roz spoke about her Fake Journal project in a pod cast
recently, and the photo she posted on her blog is a drawing
that she did of me (making a goofy/angry? face)
Roz generously sent me a copy of her drawing, and it is
always fun to see how the project progresses.
You never know what twists and ideas will come up.
Last year Roz solicited photos from
participants, specifically requesting dramatic
facial expressions. So that's how my face came
to be on her blog.  I don't know how Roz
comes up with the captions on
her journal pages, but they are often
'off the wall' and quite humorous!
