2015 is the fourth year that I plan to create a
Fake Journal.
A 'Fake Journal' is actually a real art journal,
but the character who creates it is fake.
Basically I pretend to be someone else.
I try to do things that I normally wouldn't do.
That can be difficult. But it can also open up
new avenues of expression. It can be freeing.
So when you visit, and you know me from
my other blog: Art Beneath the Cottonwoods,
don't be alarmed that I might be journaling
things that are unfamiliar. Weird even.
When I was a 'shaman' in 2013, I wrote about
the spirits of trees and animals. I tried to put
myself within the mind of a shaman. But that's
not my religion. And I got some comments
trying to evangelize me into Christianity!
Made me laugh. Obviously somebody
missed the FAKE part...
Usually I try to be a very genuine individual,
and we should all remember that not everyone
on-line is being honest! But be aware--
the Fake Journal is just for fun,
and there will be a 'Reveal' at the
end of April, to explain my goals, the
process, and how it all went.
No idea what I'm doing this year...
